In the Bulb There is a Flower
Spring has arrived! I love spring. It’s a time of new beginnings, a time when the world starts afresh. Flowers like these grape hyacinths at Eiwa suddenly pop up out of the ground, reminding us that life is growing even when we can’t see it. With that spirit in mind, we’ve added the hymn ‘In the Bulb There is a Flower’ to our English hymnbook this year.
Just as in nature, while the students were away from school over spring vacation, change was underway at Eiwa. I’m sure the students were very surprised to find that the English Café has moved and been redone. We’re very excited about the new space and look forward to having the students use it to as a place where they can play games, relax, chat, read, and watch DVDs – in English! So a very warm welcome to our new students and an equally hearty ‘welcome back!’ to our old students. We hope you had a lovely vacation and are excited about learning together with you in our English classes this year!
