Canadian Students come to Eiwa
After three and a half years of international trips and exchanges being cancelled due to Covid, Eiwa was thrilled to once again be able to host students from our sister school in Victoria, Canada. From September 16 to 24, six high school students stayed at the homes of our students and attended Eiwa on the weekdays along with their teacher.
They enjoyed a wide variety of classes and cultural experiences while at school, with a busy schedule of music, P.E., Japanese and English classes filling their days as well as learning some traditional arts such as flower arrangement, tea ceremony and calligraphy. As you can see from the big smiles in these pictures, it was a wonderful opportunity for both our students and the Canadian girls to get to know each other.
We are all looking forward to the next exchange when our students will go to Canada and visit St. Margaret’s. Many thanks to everyone for making this such a great week, and especially to the homestay families for going out of their way to host these students.
