Christmas Classes
The start of December marked the start of the season of Advent and all-around Shizuoka Eiwa you can feel the spirit of Christmas. Outside the school there are beautiful illuminations, inside the school, we have a wonderful Christmas Tree and, in our classes, we are also learning about and celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Over the next few weeks in English Conversation classes, I will take the chance to teach the students about the different ways Christmas is celebrated around the world. In addition, we will take a short break from our regular schedule to make Christmas Cards in the English café.
Christmas Cards are an important part of Christmas culture in many countries. They give us the chance to think about those who have helped and supported us over the year. Christmas Cards are also a way to say thank you to those special people in our lives. By making these cards, I hope the students can think about those people who have supported them and give thanks to them.
As well as making Christmas Cards, we are also practicing some English Hymns in class. This week we have been singing ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’ in preparation for our English service next week.

As we get closer to Christmas, I hope that all of your Christmas preparations are going well and that you have time to join us for our School Christmas on December 21st.
