Hi! This is Hana, from Winnipeg.

Spring is here! The snow that has piled up along the road is all melted. We can go outside with a light jacket now! I feel it’s lighter when my jackets become light In Japan, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom around this time, making me a little nostalgic that it's the season for new students. 　

4月になり、道路の雪もとけて、極寒の地ウィニペグにも春がやってきました🌸薄い上着で外に行く事が出来ます。上着が薄くなると気持ちも軽くなったように感じます🎵 日本では今頃、桜が満開で新入学の季節だなぁ、と懐かしく感じています。

I spent my spring vacation with my family and friends. March 31st is Easter. My host mother made us an Easter breakfast with egg pies and French toast. We also drew fake eggs and had an egg hunt with my host sister and nephew. We learnt about the resurrection of Jesus in Bible class and we had an Easter service at Eiwa but it was my first time to enjoy Easter as an event. I was able to learn the meaning of Easter once again and have another experience. 　

春休みは、家族や友達と一緒に過ごしました。 3月31日は「イースター」です。マザーがたまごのパイやフレンチトーストなど「イースターの朝食」を作ってくれました。また、シスターと甥ちゃんと一緒にたまご(偽)にお絵描きをしたり、家にたまごを隠し「エッグハント」もしました。 英和では、聖書の授業でイエスさまの復活について学んだり、イースター礼拝などはやったことがありましたが、イベントとしてのイースターは初めての体験でした。改めて、イースターの意味を知ると共に、またひとつ貴重な体験をする事が出来ました。

Also, we went to watch an ice hockey game at a stadium! It was Winnipeg Jets vs the Golden Knights. It was my first time to watch live sports so I was so excited. It was so thrilling to see so many people coming together and cheering for one team in a very large stadium. I was able to experience things that can only be done in Canada and have a fulfilling spring break.

また、競技場で行われた Winnipeg Jets vs GoldenKnights のアイスホッケーの試合を見に行きました。 スポーツ観戦は、初めてだったのでとてもワクワクしました。とても広い会場の中で、大勢の人が一丸となってひとつのチームの応援をしていて本当にアツかったです。 今月もカナダでしかできない体験をし、充実した春休みを過す事ができました。

School starts from April 1st, and we have a cooking class twice a week. My food teacher is interested in other countries’ traditional foods so we made a lot of countries’ foods. For example, we made indigenous tacos, butter chicken, and bulgogi. Not only that, we also made some desserts such as pie and cakes. My recipes are being more and more. I will make some of these things for my family.

学校が始まり、食育の授業では、週に2回の調理実習があります。食育の先生が外国の料理に興味があり、いろいろな国の伝統料理を教えてくれます。例えば、タコス（メキシコ）バターチキン（インド）プルコギ（韓国）などです。それだけでなく、パイやケーキなどのデザートも教えていただきました。私の「レシピ集」もたくさん増えてきました。家族にも作ってあげるつもりです。

I started going to volunteer at an elementary school near to our school. I will go there twice a week. We play or plant flowers with students there. I'm having a very good time with them. I can get a lot of power from those students❤︎

今月から、近所にある小学校で児童クラブのボランティアをはじめました。週に2回、小学生と遊んだり、一緒に花を植えたりして、楽しい時間を過ごしています🎵子供達から、たくさんの笑顔とパワーをもらっています。

I can't believe that there are only 3 months left... I want to experience things that can only be done in Canada and take on challenges that only I can do, and grow both in my heart and physically before returning home. I would like to remember to be grateful every day.

カナダ滞在も残り3ヶ月になりました。カナダでしか出来ない体験や私にしか出来ない挑戦をして、心も身体も成長して帰国しようと思います。感謝の気持ちを忘れず、1日1日を大切に過ごして行きたいと思います。
