Second semester has started!
二学期が始まりました！

I am taking biology, foods and nutrition, essential math and art class.
In food class, we have cooking twice a week. We learnt about the basics of cooking in the first week. We learnt a lot of useful things in our daily life, such as how to use the kitchen and how to keep it clean. In our first cooking class, we made cinnamon rolls with my group members. We all enjoyed cooking and it was yummy! I don't cook a lot when I'm at home, so I want to bring home lots of recipes and make them for my family.
In math class, we mainly learn calculations that can be used in everyday life. I also learned about bank accounts and how interest is calculated. It is a little difficult for me, but I am studying hard.

授業は生物、食事と栄養、数学基礎、美術をとりました。
食事と栄養の授業では、週に2回調理実習があります。最初の週は、調理をするにあたっての基本を学びました。キッチンの使い方や清潔に保つ方法など、日常でも役立つ事をたくさん学びました。はじめての調理実習では、班のメンバーとシナモンロールを作りました。みんなで美味しく頂きました。家にいると料理の機会が少ないのでたくさんレシピを持って帰り、家族のために作りたいと思います。
数学の授業では、日常で使えるような計算を主に学んでいます。銀行口座についてと利子の計算方法も学びました。私には少し難しい内容ではありますが、頑張って勉強しています。

Also, I went on a school ski trip with my friends! We went to Holiday Mountain with the school bus. We first learned about how to ski, and then we skied around. It was my first time skiing since elementary school, but I had fun skiing with my teachers and friends. It was a cold that I can't imagine in Shizuoka, but it was a very enjoyable time. I want to join some more school events when I have the opportunity.

また、学校のスキー教室にも参加し、バスでホリデイマウンテンに行きました。まず基本の動きを教えて頂き、その後それぞれ自由に滑りました。スキーをするのは小学生の時以来で久しぶりでしたが、先生や友達と楽しく滑ることができました。静岡では考えられない様な寒さの中でしたが、とても楽しい時間でした。
また機会があれば、学校の他のイベントにも積極的に参加してみたいと思います。

Half the time has passed since I came to Canada. Time passes really quickly. I have made more friends from different countries, and I'm having a fulfilling time every day. But I want to make the most of each day so that I don't have any regrets about the remaining half of my days.

カナダに来て半分が過ぎました。時間が過ぎるのは本当に早いです。色々な国の友達も増え、毎日充実した日々を過ごしていますが、残り半分の日々も後悔のないよう、1日1日を大切に過ごしていきたいと思います。
