カナダ留学だより ウイニペグ 1月②
Hi! This is Hana, from Winnipeg.
Winter break finished, and school started from January 9th. I want to start afresh with my new year's resolution. I will give it my all!
冬休みが終わり、１月９日から学校が始まりました。 新年になり、気持ちを新たに生活しています。

We had assessment week at the end of January. We had to submit the final project for each subject. We don't have class that week, so we can focus to finish final project. There are exams, presentations, and a variety of other assignments.
In EAL class, we made presentations about our original restaurant. I made it with a Japanese style restaurant. I designed the menu and interior design with Japanese food in mind. For the menu, I designed colorful main dishes typical of Japan and desserts that will warm your heart❤︎ I also designed the interior design so that it retains a restaurant-like feel while also giving a Japanese feel. Each of the presentations had their own individuality, and each person presented their own "best restaurant."
In graphics and art class, we worked on a final project with a group. We worked for about a month. We were very happy that was done.
In English class, we did some questions on a handout to summarize what we had learned so far. We reviewed what we had learned in the first semester.
1月最後の週に、assessment week（assessment = 評価） がありました。授業の科目ごとに、それぞれ最終課題を提出しなければなりません。その期間中は授業がなく、それぞれ最終プロジェクトを完成させたり、試験やプレゼンテーションをしたりいろいろな課題があります。
EAL（英語）の授業では「私の考えたレストラン」をプレゼンテーションしました。私は和食店をイメージしてメニューや内装を考えました。メニューは、日本らしく彩りのあるメイン料理やほっこりと気持ちも温まるようなデザートを考えました。また、内装もレストランらしさを残しつつも日本らしさも感じられるように考えました。みんなそれぞれ個性のある、まさに「最高のレストラン」をプレゼンテーションしました。
グラフィックスと美術の授業では、グループのみんなで最終プロジェクトを終わらせました。冬休み明けから約1ヶ月間かけて準備をしました。完成した時は、みんなで一緒に喜びました。
英文学の授業では、今までの授業のまとめとしてプリントの問題を解きました。
一学期で習ったことを振り返りながら復習しました。
In the first semester, I had a lot of learning and experiences that were different from Japan. The second semester started on February 5th. My timetable will change, and I will have more opportunities to try new things. Since coming to Canada, I have met many people and received support from many people. In the second semester, I will not forget my feelings of gratitude and continue to take on challenges.
この一学期には、日本とは違うたくさんの学びと経験がありました。２月５日から二学期が始まりました。時間割も変わり、また新しいことにチャレンジする機会も増えていきます。ここカナダに来て、たくさんの人に出会い、たくさんの人にサポートしていただきました。二学期も感謝の気持ちを忘れず、チャレンジしていきたいと思います。
